Stepping Stones: a Grinnell Asian American Tradition

From 2005 to at least 2008, the Asian American Coalition (which later became Asian American Association) hosted a yearly variety show, Stepping Stones. Grinnell students performed, and AAC requested funds to bring in special guests to perform. In 2007, the guest was Quest, who hosted a break-dancing workshop. In 2008 the guest was hereandnow, an Asian American theatre company founded in East Los Angeles in 1989. Co-sponsors of the event included International Student Organization (ISO), Student Organization of Lantines (SOL), Queer People of Color (QPOC), and Grinnell Multicultural Alliance (GMA, formerly DivCo).

Did you attend a Stepping Stones performance? Do you have a story about it? Let us know in the comments?
